Four people turned out for what started out as a trip to collect flint. Weather was hot and dry and the river bed was mostly dry with a hard bottom.
Rocks collected were Chert/flint chunks, petrified wood, pebble jasper, and mud ball concretions.
Artifacts found consisted of an arrowhead, cow bones, teeth, and river tumbled glass of various colors.
Shark teeth, fish vertebrate, internal molds of clams, oyster shell, sand dollar, worm tubes, and coral Fossils collected were from the Upper Cretaceous deposits of the Wolf city formations. Other fossils found were Pleistocene vertebrate bone and teeth fragments.
A good time was had by all. And again "It sure was Hot"
Trip leader was Wil House.
